Introduction to electricity and electronics, installation design, embedded programming, projection mapping, interactive music and 3D interfaces (tools: Arduino, Kinect, Wiimote, Resolume, Pd, Open Frameworks, Processing).

Introduction to programming with Java (variables, conditionals, loops, arrays), Processing framework and OOP.

Analysis, conception and design of games. Game design, level design, character design, balancing, narratives, pitches.

Games II – Undergraduate Course
Design and development of game prototypes. Theory on project planning, scene graph, rendering, collision detection, FSM, adversarial search and pathfinding.

View Management and User Interface Optimization for Wide-Area Mobile Augmented Reality

This research is a collaborative effort by Virginia Tech and University of California, Santa Barbara. The goal is to improve mobile AR view and user interfaces to providing decision makers in the field with increased situation awareness.

Validation of MR Simulation and the Effect of Display Fidelity
Ongoing
 
This research is a collaborative effort by Virginia Tech and Brown University. The goal is to investigate the use of displays with higher levels of fidelity, as well as natural and innovative 3D interaction techniques, to allow scientists to view and analyze volume datasets without prior segmentation.

Book-games for mobile devices and the book-game go to the school
2013-2014
Jointly with the National Institute for Research of Water, Minerals and Biodiversity (INCT Acqua). The goal of this project is the research and development of new languages for digital book-games with applications on entertainment and education. Grant from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development.

Using 3d cameras in cut out animation of characters
